DELLER'S DARKENER

Delller's Darkener, was never intended to be used for deceit. It's use is to assist you in making your less desirable, mistreated ,corroded, scratched, copper coins more presentable by toning through darkening.

        SIMPLE DIRECTIONS

Practice on a common copper coin first for your toning depth and timing.

        TO TONE A SCRATCH

Take a small Dab of Deller's on a toothpick, gently fill the scratch. When tone of scratch matches coin, wipe off surplus. allow Darkener to set.

        FOR FULLY CLEANED COINS

To be sure coin is free of foreign matter or oils, clean coin with a quality coin cleaner. Place small quantity of Deller's on a cotton swab, or preferably on a bronze/brass brush. rub gently until desired tone appears. Wipe coin of surplus. Put coin away for Darkener to set. NOTE: If you overtone, remove Darkener with olive oil and repeat procedure.

         FOR CARBON AND OTHER SPOTS

Clean entire coin with a quality coin cleaner. Then neutralize. A good neutralizer is nail polish remover. Blot dry thoroughly. Keep fingers from obverse and reverse. (If available use coin tongs) Follow directions for fully cleaned coins.

         THINGS TO REMEMBER

1. Use Deller's sparingly. If you overtone, remove with olive oil and repeat procedure.

2. Brush gently with a Bronze/Brass brush.

3. Whipe surplus when tone of coin is a shade brighter than you wish. Better to undertone than overtone.

4. Practice on a common copper coins until you get your desired results.

5. When completed, put coin aside to allow darkener to set.

6. Keep your fingers off the coin as much as possible. Remember yourfingers have natural oils.

7. If you have to handle the coins with your bare fingers, (you do not have coin tongs or surgical gloves) than please clean hands thorougly and handle coins be the edges.

8. Deller's will work on anything copper, U.S. & foreign coins as well as antiques.

9. Deller's darkener formulated in  the 1950's is of the finest quality chemicals. Remember the old addage "Penny wise and pound foolish". It costs a bit more, but it does the perefect job and it does it now.

10. Keep out of reach of children.
